Overview:
Plots a graph of average intensity vs magnetic longitude or
magnetic local time given an inner and an outer radius. Note that this is
identical to azisum, except that it uses files
output by xform rather than standard FITS files.
How to use:
There are 3 sliders. The first slider controls the inner
radius, the second controls the thickness of the bands, and
the third controls the number of subdivisions the circle will
be broken up into. There are toggle switches below the sliders
which are fairly self-explanatory, and control what exactly
the program produces and where it stores the output file.
Everything else in the program is controlled through the mouse.
Hold the left button down to define the center of the earth.
Holding the middle button down displays minimum L, MLT, and
magnetic longitude data near the upper left corner of the
window. The right button is clicked to tell the program to
go ahead and actually do the calculations and write any output
files that may have been specified.
How to use:
aziplot is also included to offer more flexibility in graphing
the data. Using files in the 'output' directory, aziplot will
allow you to graph more than one frame at a time, which is
useful for comparison. 'Splitting' the data set makes one
half of the data appear red and the other half black on the
graph, which may make graphed data from two separate times
more easily read.
